Maritime House is a converted mission house set on the harbour quayside at the Shore in Leith. Leith is the old maritime centre of Edinburgh and although its shipping heyday is long past, today the port maintains its own unique charm.


Leith is home to many restaurants, cafes and shops making it a vibrant place to be. It is rapidly becoming a hub for many of the top restaurants in Edinburgh and there are 2 Michelin starred restaurants within walking distance of the property.


Ocean Terminal, a large shopping and cinema complex overlooking the water, is also close by. This is home to one of Scotland's most popular tourist attractions, The Royal Yacht Britannia.


There are excellent public transport links into the city centre. Regular buses take you to Princes Street in 20 minutes and a direct bus link takes you to and from the airport in less than an hour.


The Shore has a community/village feel in the city and is ideally suited for those who enjoy city life but who also dream of living by the sea. Maritime House is a short walk from the Scottish Executive Offices. Recreational facilities include the nearby David Lloyd Health Club at Newhaven Harbour, the Royal Yacht Britannia and the Water of Leith cycle paths and walkway.
