St James Centre Development

St-James-Centre

St James Centre

Have you walked past the St James Centre recently and wondered what on earth is going on?
The centre was closed to the public in October 2016 when a huge regeneration project commenced. The site is under complete redevelopment and the project is expected to complete in 2020.

The new development will be a mix of retail space, cinema, hotel and private apartments regenerating the space and giving rise to thousands of jobs. It is thought it will have a significant impact on the city’s economy and will bring a new energy to the East End of Princes Street.

To find out more about the planned development have a look at the website – http://www.edinburghstjames.com/.

We believe the work is going to be great for the capital’s property market. Leith Walk is already a hot-spot for investors as property prices and rents have risen considerably in recent years but we think the St James redevelopment could make this part of Edinburgh even more attractive to investors and private renters.
