Welcome to our new website! We are delighted that this new, bespoke site is now live, offering increased support to landlords, tenants, and investors.
The website focuses on an improved user experience, and we’ve created a bold but simple visual design to complement the clear, intuitive navigation. Users can reach essential tools in a minimal number of clicks, and key features stand out against the uncluttered design.
The project is a significant investment for our small family-run business. It completes a full At Home In Edinburgh rebranding, following our move to our lovely Marchmont premises last year.
What does the new website offer?
We have created dedicated areas for landlords, tenants and investors, each with key tools. The homepage features an instant property valuation tool for anyone considering becoming a landlord or extending their rental portfolio. There is also a free, comprehensive property rental assessment on offer, via a short online request form.
Landlords can download a clear step-by-step guide to the lettings process with us, covering everything from onboarding as a client to vetting tenants and all-important property compliance.
Investors can find help sourcing property, and we’ve highlighted our guidance through the process – from understanding investment goals to identifying target properties and preparing properties for market.
We have also created online support for tenants, with straightforward information covering all aspects of tenant life. This includes everything from arranging viewings to moving in or moving out of a property. We are also really pleased to now offer a dedicated support hub, offering trouble-shooting information and a fast, easy online form to report repairs.
Property listings themselves have also been overhauled, with the standard search function complemented by the introduction of quick-preview carousel images. Each listing now also includes a built-in virtual tour, alongside a viewing request form.
A local focus
The website marks a change in focus for us, from short to long term lets. This has been led by the lasting impact of the pandemic but also reflects our acknowledgement of current issues surrounding holiday lets and their impact on local communities.
Our desire to support local also led directors Rick and Vicky to work with other Edinburgh-based businesses on the project. We were delighted to team up with experts Lyles Sutherland for the website build while the unique design concept was the result of creative collaboration between designer Andy Johnston of Eido Studio and property management software specialists SME Professional.
