The Playhouse Theatre and the Omni Centre (with cinema and gym) are nearby along with the independent shops, bars and cafes of Broughton Street, Stockbridge and Canonmills.

There is a large supermarket in Broughton just a few minutes walk from the property.

There are excellent local public transport links in the area and the central bus station and Waverley train station are nearby for travelling further afield.
